That Time I Wrote a Book !

Like many people, I learned about personal finance the slow way. Through trial and error. Through small mistakes and the occasional “I probably should have known that earlier” moment.

Over time, those lessons started to add up. And eventually I realized that many people struggle with the same questions about money that I once had.

So I started writing and created this blog in 2014.

Why I Wanted to Write This Book

Money is something we all deal with every day, yet most of us were never really taught how to manage it.

We’re expected to figure out things like budgeting, saving, debt, and long‑term planning largely on our own.

For many people, that can feel overwhelming.

At some point along the way, an idea quietly took root: what if I wrote a book about personal finance?

Not a complicated book full of jargon and financial theory. Just something honest and practical — the kind of guide I wish I had when I was first trying to figure out money.

I wanted to write a book that made personal finance feel a little less intimidating and a lot more approachable.

What My Book Is About

The book focuses on everyday financial habits that shape our lives:

  • building financial habits that actually stick
  • understanding where your money goes
  • developing a healthier relationship with money
  • making steady progress toward financial stability
